The KyHRC has been busy providing Naloxone Training through out the state. Recently , in Jefferson County, there has been a surge of overdoses in the metro Louisville area. According to Chief Conrad from Louisville Metro Police, the increase has jumped to 162%.

What’s to blame?

Heroin laced with fentanyl and neurontin, according to the Coroner, Dr. Weakley.

An urgency is needed to supply kits and get them to people who are in crisis…family members, those in active addiction, or anyone with a loved one at risk of overdosing.

Several community trainings can be found on our homepage. KyHRC does ask agengies and organizations to contact us for a staff training, you are more than welcome to attend, but Naloxone Kits are limited to the public.
